The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care package will provide you with the required Certificate III as part of the journey to the Diploma ensuring an in-depth understanding of children and how to engage with them in a group care environment.

About the Course

Care for children, and help them learn about our world with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care. This course teaches students to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

This course is ideal if you want to become early childhood educators responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in Early Childhood Education and Care services. You will learn how to plan learning using appropriate frameworks, support child development, understand legislation and maintain a safe environment for children, families, and staff.

This course has a practical component that requires 240 hours to be completed in a registered and licensed children’s service over the period of the qualification. Placement must occur for the full duration of the study period.

What You’ll Learn:

This course includes BOTH the Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The training package does not have any entry requirement, but Charlton Brown’s specific course entry requirements are:

Education 

  • hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • 16 years old or above 
  • Completion of Year 12/High School overseas or Australia Year 11 or equivalent; or 
  • Pass CB LLN test 

English 

  • IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent; or
  • Pass CB LLN test
